Mature Size: 60-75' tall by 40-50' wide Growth Rate: Moderate to fast
Form / Shape: Broad, pyramidal to rounded dome Drought Tolerance: Moderate to high
Flower / Fruit: Olive green to tan male; brown green female flower; matures to gray brown acorn; blooms late Winter to Spring; small gray brown oval shaped acorn 3/8" to 1/2" Soil: Well drained, moist, fertile, humus rich, slightly acidic; adaptable to clay, loam or sandy soil; moderately tolerant of wet soils and infrequent flooding
Foliage: Alternate, simple, linear to lanceolate; light green to dark green leaves; turns yellow in the Fall Light: Full sun; tolerates part shade
Bark:  Smooth gray matures to dark gray to grayish black Pruning: Maintain central leader; to remove low hanging limbs
  Uses: Parking lot islands, lawn tree, buffer strips around parking lots, shade tree or residential street tree
