Form / Shape: Broad, rounded dome Drought Tolerance: Moderate
Flower / Fruit: Gray green to tan male; yellow green to tan female matures to brown acorn; blooms in late Winter early Spring; acorn 1-1¼"; abundant Soil: Well drained, moist, fertile, humus rich; adaptable to many soil types except water-logged soil
Foliage: Alternate; simple; 4-8" long by 1½-2½" wide leaves; dull glossy yellow green leaves mature to green; turns dull yellow to brownish tan in the Fall; leaves gradually shed Light: Full sun; tolerates part shade
Bark:  Smooth, ash gray matures to dark gray Pruning: Maintain central leader; remove limbs with acute branch to trunk angles and to remove low hanging limbs
  Uses: Shade tree, street or parking lot tree; lawn specimen
