Form / Shape: Dense, oval Drought Tolerance: Moderate
Flower / Fruit: Yellow inconspicuous; blooms in Spring; green fruit turns light brown in Fall Soil: Adaptable to sandy, or clay soil; best grown in well drained, moist fertile; not tolerant of compacted or wet soil
Foliage: Opposite, simple, three to five lobed; dark green leaves turn yellow, orange and red in the Fall Light: Full to part shade; best growth and color in full sun
Bark:  Smooth, tannish gray; matures to blackish gray Pruning: To develop crown and strong limb angles; remove crossing and low hanging limbs
  Uses: Large shade, lawn, park and golf courses; needs large space for crown to spread and roots to develop
