Foliage: Alternate, simple, ovate to elliptical, 5-10" long; medium green leaves with rich reddish brown underside Light: Full sun to partial shade; best growth and flower in full sun
Bark:   Smooth grayish brown to blackish gray Pruning: In Spring before new growth begins to maintain size
  Uses: Large specimen tree, buffer or screen
